ISSAC'S STORY

Isaac was just 15 months old when he began experiencing pain in his legs. His skin became so sensitive that he wouldn't let his mom Cheryl touch him, and that's when she knew something was really wrong. Isaac was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, and the cancer was in his lungs, bones and bone marrow. His treatments have included 5 rounds of chemotherapy, 2 stem cell transplants, 14 rounds of radiation, and 6 months of antibody treatment.

Isaac's family was connected with Emily's Power for a Cure by the child life specialists at Children's Hospital. His family is grateful for the support they have received from the foundation.  "Emily's Power for a Cure has was a big help to our family, while we were receiving treatment in Cincinnati by helping to pay for our hotel rooms," says Cheryl. "They also give us gift cards for other needs."

Isaac is currently an active 4 year old and recently finished his last round of MIGB radiation. He loves to spend time outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers. His family is looking forward to the day when their son is cancer free.
