It is the goal of Emily's Power for a Cure to raise funds and awareness to fight Neuroblastoma, while helping families who are actively fighting this disease. In 2008 Emily's Power for a cure pledged $300,000 to TC Thompson Children's Hospital for the purchase of a pediatric CT scanner. This scanner will greatly benefit the lives of children with cancer and make it easier to diagnose and treat many childhood illnesses. This CT scanner is Emily's Legacy. Stay tuned for more details and the unveiling of the CT suite in fall 2010.
In January of 2010 we granted two $50,000 research grants to two top researchers in the US. It is our belief that this research will lead to long term, event free survival for all children battling NB. This is Emily's Legacy!
